Mini Twist Bantu Knot Out

Hi luvs!

My favorite style from wearing mini twists last month has got to be my Bantu knot out. I always struggle doing this style but with twists it was so much easier! And the curls, the curls came out beautifully.

I used the same typical method for the knots and I can definitely say that I’ll be doing this style again.

Plus, the definition lasted for days!

Mini Twists – Products, Tips & More

Hi Beauties,

Last month I decided to install mini twists in preparation for the new baby. I didn’t want to have to spend time thinking about my hair, but still wanted a style that was chic. Mini twists were the answer. Check out my video talking about the products I used some installation tips and more here. Loved rocking these twists!

All Wrapped Up

Good Morning!

I’ve recently become fascinated with the world of headwraping. I have no idea why I was never drawn to this style before but lately I have been adoring the difference a standard scarf can make!

I’ve mainly been embracing this look on wash days. I will wash my hair, moisturizer it, twist it, put on a satan scarf or bonnet and get wrapped up! I’m able to look really chic for the day just by taking a simple scarf from my wardrobe and wrapping it around my hair.

As for how I do the wraps, honestly, I make it up as I go along, lol. Here are a few different looks I’ve come up with. Not bad huh?

3 Undercut Styles For A Corporate Job

Hi beauties!

Today I wanted to talk about 3 easy undercut styles that you can rock in a corporate environment. Now, I’ve personally worn a lot more out of the box styles to my corporate job but if you’re afraid to rock the boat or just aren’t ready to go too creative, here are a few styles you can add to your go to hairstyle arsenal.

1. Side Front flat twist – this style is very chic and conservative. It highlights just one side of the undercut and is a fairly easy  and fit for a corporate workplace. Here are two different versions

Click here for a tutorial for this look.

2. Side Swept Mega French Roll/Twists – This is another chic and look that is more conservative for a undercut style.  It also focuses on just one side of the undercut and is very sleek. Here are a couple different looks.
Click here for a tutorial for this look.

3. High Bun – Although this style does boast the entire undercut it is incredibly sleek and clean.

That’s it! Three easy go to undercut styles you can use if you work in corporate. I hope this was helpful!

XOXO

Twists vs. Twist Outs

Twists or twists outs?  That’s the question for today! The answer isn’t quite that simple however. Let’s talk about the pros and cons of each.

Pros of Twists

1.  I love the look – Generally speaking I love the way twists lookM on me.

2.  They’re protective and give my hair a break – Lets face it, sometimes even I get tired of styling my hair. This is a great way to give it a break and its a great protective style! Twists are very low maintenance not requiring much at all.

3.  They’re still versatile – I still have the luxury of being able to style twists which helps me not to get bored

Cons of Twists

1.  Limited styling capability – Although I’m able to get a little creative with styling my twists I am definitely limited.  I can’t do nearly as many creative styles as I can with a twist out.

2.  I miss my texture – After about a week or so of wearing twists I very genuinely start missing my texture. I crave my chunky twisted updos

Pros of twist outs

1.  Definition – I do enjoy curl defining styles every once in a while and this is probably the easiest way for me to achieve some great curl definition.

2. Unlimited styling capability – There is no end to styling options when working with a twist out

3.  Fairly protective – although they don’t offer the same level of protectiveness or low maintenance as twists, twist out updos are still fairly protective.

Cons of twist outs
1. Longer to style – I don’t often care to wear my twist outs out. 90% of the time I style them in updos which believe it or not it always takes me a bit longer to style. I fight against the definition to get the shapes I want which means I end up using a ton of bobby pins.

So….as for preference, I honestly can’t chose! I love both of these styles. It really just depends on what I’m in the mood for.  You’ll definitely continue to see me rock twists and twist outs.

What’s your preference?

Heyyy beauties!

Today I’ve got a video tutorial for you. Inside my August curlBOX were some products by One ‘N Only.
