L.O.C. Method Twist Out Featuring One ‘N Only

Heyyy beauties!

Today I’ve got a video tutorial for you. Inside my August curlBOX were some products by One ‘N Only.

I decided to take a few of them for a drive by doing a twist out using the L.O.C. Method (liquid, oil, cream). The results were beautiful!

Hydrate + Repair Aragan Oil Line

Hi beauties!

This weekend I tried out another product line that OGX Beauty sent me. My last product trial was of their Quenching Coconut Curls line. You can check out that review here if you missed it. This weekend I decided to try out the Hydrate + Repair Aragan Oil line.

I have to admit that I wasn’t as excited to try these products as I was with the coconut curls line. I’ve tried a slew of aragan oil products so I honestly didn’t expect anything outrageously different.

I started off with the shampoo which I’m always a bit reluctant about because of the whole sulfate issue. This particular product offered the biggest surprise of the three I tried. Typically after I rinse shampoo out of my hair my hair feels dry. NOT the case with this shampoo! My hair didn’t feel dry at all which was a very pleasant surprise. It felt even better than it did with the coconut curls shampoo.

I followed it up with the conditioner which was pretty much what I expected. It coated my hair nicely and made my hair feel very soft.  It’s hard to go wrong with an aragan oil based conditioner.

After that I decided to two strand twist my hair with the hair butter. I wondered how this product would differ from the coconut curls hair butter. The consistency is quite different surprisingly. The Aragan oil hair butter has a thicker consistency than the coconut curls hair butter which is much looser and seems to contain more liquid or moisture to it.

Here’s a look at my twists and my twist out results

Overall I enjoyed the hydrate & repair aragan oil line. The only product I’d say I was especially  surprised with was the shampoo.

In comparing the coconut curls line with the aragan oil line my preference is definitely with the coconut curls line. These products just seem to house more moisture which is key for me.

I had a great time trying out these OGX Beauty products! Have you tried these products? What’s your preference.

Twist Pull Pin & Protect

That pretty much describes today’s style! My hair was really dry this morning so I rejuvenated it with Some products from the Creme of Nature Aragan Oil line. Worked like a charm!

After I added some moisture back to my hair I really wanted to lock it in so I did several chunky twists around my head (Don’t mind my wisdom hairs).

Afte that I just pulled and pinned the twists down.

Finally I end up with a nice easy protective style that is allowing my hair to soak up all the goodness from the Creme of Nature products throughout the day! What do you think?

My Current L.O.C. Obsession

Hello beauties!

Sorry it’s been a while. I’m working on something really exciting that I can’t wait to share with you all.

In the mean time, let me introduce you to my current L.O.C. obsession.

Leave-in: Cantu Shea Butter
Oil: Organix Renewing Moroccan Aragan Penetrating Oil
Cream: Organix Moroccan Curling Defining Cream

This combination makes my hair soooo soft! I just love it. I caught these Organix products on a BOGO sale at Walgreens and now I’m hooked! The only downside is that I can’t follow this product combination with my staple curl defining Eco Styler Gel. It leaves a very unappealing white residue.

But…definitely recommend trying these to seal in moisture.

Deep Conditioning Awesomeness

It’s been about 3 months now that I’ve been basking in the awesomeness of my current deep conditioning favorite. Creme of Nature’s Aragan Oil Intensive Conditioning Treatment has really been doing my hair right!

I have a lot of trouble retaining moisture and this product has really helped with that. I currently deep condition and baggy once a week. Although this is not a leave in conditioner I personally find that I get my best results when I leave the product in my hair. I will typically baggy with the product for at least 4 hours.

Some of the major benefits I’ve seen with this product and process are:

Significant moisture retention
Incredible shine
Light soft hair
Split end & single strand knot reduction

I’m loving this product so much that I’m thinking about bringing it into my regemin twice a week. I’d also say that trying out some of the other products from this line is also in my future.
