Helloooo Curls

Hey luvs!

This week I decided to take one of the products from the October curlBOX for a drive. Of course curlBOX leveled up AGAIN with this months box and featured all full size products from one of my favorite product lines EVER! Quenching Coconut Curls by OGX.

I’ve been raving about this line for a year now and we’ll, nothing has changed! This is the most moisture rich live I’ve encountered. The products have so much slip and leave my hair hydrated and soft.

This time I decided to go with one of the products from the line I don’t use that often, the Curl Styling Milk.

I also decided to work with stretched hair which is also something I don’t do very often. The results were well…

Pretty awesome right!? Of course I have a talk through as I discover the results myself in a YouTube video. Check it out here.

New Pantry Organization

Happy Friday Luvs!

Super late blog post tonight but I had to share my new pantry organization with you all. I’ve been wanting to get things more organized at home and I’ve finally taken the plunge by designating a project space and just going for it!

I wanted to start with a space that when organized would benefit the whole family so the pantry seemed like the perfect space.  I neglected to take a true before photo, so the one below will have to suffice.  In this photo I had already cleaned out the very bottom, which was a mess, and started organizing the third row.

As you can see there was no method to my previous madness, and as a result I really had no idea how much food I actually had in my pantry!

So, I began by determining what type of storage pieces would serve as a solution to this disaster of a space. Big Lots, Dollar Tree and Walmart were my go to stores for getting what I needed. The clear bins pictured above are from Big Lots. The teal canvas bins and teal cereal containers below are from Walmart. And the other plastic bins are from Dollar Tree. I stuck with teal and red for pops of color since those colors are consistent with my living room which is right off of the Kitchen.

I pulled everything out of the bottom of my pantry which had become a storage space for pretty much anything. My little person helped me go through everything

After I got through that I went on to pairing like items in each bin. This is when I realized how much food we had! It was crazy to see just how much we had been over purchasing. After two days of hard work I completed our new pantry organization and couldn’t be happier.

I’m so excited I just leave the doors open since the colors flow so nicely with my family room decor.  The black chalk name tags are from Walmart.?I spent roughly $50 to complete this project. I’m so inspired and ready to move on to the next space. Stay tuned!

Monochromatic Teal Look

Happy Thursday Day!

Last week I decided to try for a super bold look starring the beautiful color of teal. I adore this combination of blue and green. I wore it a lot in the summer and wanted to find a way to bring it over into the fall season. I tripled up on the color which may seem like a bit too much but I couldn’t have been more happy with the way it turned out.

For the eyes, I used my BH cosmetics 120 color second edition palette. With a combination of three different teals, I built on the colors to achieve this look. My lip color is a combination of two NYX Wicked lippies, Scandalous and Risqué.

My messy twist out and red and blonde hair color helps complete this dramatic fall look. I adored this look so much I’ll definitely be doing more monochromatic makeup looks.

That’s it for now!

Hair Restoration Update!

Hey luvs,

Since May I’ve been working hard to restore my hair from the color damage I got as a result of over coloring my hair. If you missed that post you can check it out here. I ended up cutting off the damaged ends and starting my hair restoration process back in May. I’ve been using a lot of products meant specifically for restoring damaged hair and have also been taking some hair vitamins. In a recent video I recaped my progress and provide details on the different products I’m attributing my hair growth and restoration so far to. Here is a look at my progress in pictures over the past several months.

I’m really happy with my progress! If you’re interested in hearing about exactly what I’ve been using on my hair, click here to watch my hair restoration update video.

FALLing In Love With Big Curls & Purple

Happy Friday!

Who doesn’t love purple!? This color is gorgeous in any season, but there’s just something about fall that makes me fall even more in love with it. Today I want to share a look I did recently starring this beautiful color and some big curls.

I absolutely adore this look. That purple is poppin and I love big curls. Here’s the step by step on how I got the hair:

1. Apply  5 in 1 Miracle Styling Creme by Lottabody to dry stretched hair.

2. Section hair. The larger the section the larger the curl.

3. Wrap the section of hair around your index finger.

4. Remove your index finger and wrap a piece of foil around the section of hair securely.

5. Put the foiled section in between a hot flatiron. Press and hold for 10 seconds.

6. Release and repeat. When you’re done it’ll look something like this

7. Next, remove the foil from each section to reveal the curls

8. Lastly, separate and style to your liking.

I LOVE this quick and easy method to get some gorgeous curls.

As for the purple lip, I used Be-Dazzled by ColourPop Cosmetics and for some shine I added an overlay of Purple Pop by Jordana.  The combination was life.

This entire look was so pretty and perfect for fall to me. What’s your favorite hair and lip color combination for fall?

Statement Choker

Heyyy luvs!

I hope you all are doing great. I have been over here struggling. I’m so excited about the fall season but my allergies are driving me crazy. I haven’t been up for much of anything but I’m trying to work my way back.

Today I wanted to share a regal look I wore a week ago starring A beautiful statement choker I got from Forever 21 when I was in New York. I pared it with a high twist out pompadour and an olive colored beat.

I absolutely love this look and this choker just sets it off. You can find the choker here. If you’re curious about the lippie it’s a nyx Wicked Lippie called Trickery.

Well, that’s it for now.

XOXO,

TJ

Birthday Weekend!

Hi luvs!

Late last week all through the weekend I celebrated my baby’s first birthday with a lot of my family! It was a full but fun weekend. My in-laws and two of my nephews on David’s side came up from Florida along with my mom, both of my sisters and two nieces. Yes, we had a full house!

I spent a lot of time with my family preparing for Zakai’s first birthday party. My baby turned 1 on September 29. Seems like just yesterday this was me, extremely pregnant awaiting his arrival.

Time really has flown by. Well, this weekend we celebrated with a race car themed party. I had so much fun putting this party together and I was really happy with the way it turned out. So, let me jump into some party pics!

My porkchop was not a fan of getting all messy with his cake but he did end up enjoying what David fed him.

Outside of the celebration one of the coolest parts of the weekend was having both of my sisters and my mom here together. This was my oldest sister Tina’s first time coming to GA. I made sure to get some pics which is huge because she NEVER takes pictures. She let me do her makeup too which was lots of fun

We even managed to get some picture of all three of us which is extremely rare. We served and we smiled

What a great weekend. Well that’s it for now. I’ll finish up with some more pics

XOXO,

TJ
