Design Essentials Coconut & Monoi Review & Demo

Hey luvs!
Tonight I want to share a review and demo I did for Design Essentials. They sent me some products from their Coconut & Monoi line and I had a lot of fun styling my hair with them.

Check out this gorgeous hair I achieved with their Deep Moisture Milk Soufflé and Deep Moisture Oil Treatment.

I wore these curls for a casual day out with my sister and nieces who came to visit last week. They were pretty much EVERYTHING!

Creative Twisted Updo

Happy Friday luvs!

Well, my creative styling has continued pretty much all week which has been super exciting for me. I truly have missed using my signature Twist, Pull & Pin technique to create some really unique styles.

Today I want to share my favorite look from this week.

I adore this creative twisted updo style. The volume and dimension provided by the chunky twists along with my hair color really set this style off.  Of course I have a tutorial! If you’re interested in seeing the step by step check out the quick video here.
Have a great weekend!

XOXO,

Stand Up Twist Out

Hey luvs!

A little late posting today, but I wanted to share this stand up twist out style with you guys.

I wore this style when hubby and I were at the Essence Festival in New Orleans and got a lot of love on this look.

So much so that I decided to do a tutorial on exactly how I achieve this stand up hair. I absolutely adore this style. It’s bold and edgy and makes me feel fearless!

Headwrap Heaven

Good morning luvs!

Wash days that are filled with other to-dos can be a struggle. But, today I want to show you how a standard scarf can make it all better. Over the past few weeks I’ve adorned my tresses with three different scarves while I deep conditioned/moisturized my hair. Here’s a look at those looks.

In each of these looks the scarves are tied exactly the same.  I got so much love and requests for details on how I tied the scarves that I decided it could definitely be beneficial to a lot of you. Sooo, I filmed a detailed tutorial in hopes of showing you all how to get a dose of headwrap heaven with scarves you currently own. In addition, I also filmed this beautiful purple and gold makeup look.

June curlBOX Demo

Hey luvs!

Sooo, my June curlBOX came in the mail while I was in Vegas but when I got back I jumped right in and found some new products by SoftSheen-Carlson called AMLA LEGEND.

I had never heard of these products but was really intrigued since they focus on nourishing and repairing damaged hair. Being in the midst of my color damage restoration journey I was eager to give these products a try.

For styling I decided to do my damp twist out since I’d gotten some interest/questions on that style.

The Evolution of a Crown

Hi luvs!

It’s not often that you’ll see me wearing curl defining styles. But when I do I’m always trying to find a way to take them from ordinary to extraordinary.  Last week I filmed the evolution of this beautiful crown. Watch as I style my second day twist and curl out 3 different ways before I end up with this style I adored most. Check out the video here.
