Matte Flirty & Curls

Hey luvs!

Today I’ve got a super cute and flirtatious combination to share with you all. Take a look at these gorgeous curls and sultry lip color!

There’s obviously no secret that I am definitely ready for fall. I’ve been itching to start moving into darker lips and this beautiful bergundy color by Milani called Matte Flirty is a perfect shade to help me transition into the new season.

I have a growing collection of Milani’s matte lipsticks because they are so awesome. The application is nice and smooth and the colors are everything. The only thing that could make me love them more is if they didn’t kiss off.

As for these great curls. I used my OGX Beauty Quenching Coconut Curls Hair Butter, my go-to for a juicy defined twist out. This stuff NEVER fails me.

These two great products helped my achieve this fabulous flirty look!

Creative Twisted Updo

Happy Friday luvs!

Well, my creative styling has continued pretty much all week which has been super exciting for me. I truly have missed using my signature Twist, Pull & Pin technique to create some really unique styles.

Today I want to share my favorite look from this week.

I adore this creative twisted updo style. The volume and dimension provided by the chunky twists along with my hair color really set this style off.  Of course I have a tutorial! If you’re interested in seeing the step by step check out the quick video here.
Have a great weekend!

Jumbo Flat Twists

Hey luvs!

Now that my hair is getting thicker and is restoring nicely from my color damage I’m excited to be able to get back to some creative twisted updo styling.

I had envisioned a jumbo flat twist style this weekend and tried to bring it to life yesterday. I can’t say that I was a complete success, but I was very happy with the outcome. It was really tough getting shots that captured the style but I did my best!

That’s it for now!

Hubby’s Birthday

Happy Monday luvs!

So this past Saturday was my hubby’s 32nd Birthday. His birthday always reminds me of the fact that I’m older than he is (3 years older). I’m totally ok with that, obviously, but it’s still a reminder. I just wanted to share some pics with you guys from Saturday.

Zavien decided that he wanted to make his dad a lion mask, which I thought was totally appropriate since it is Leo season.  He loved it of course.

After breakfast they went shopping for baseball gear. My Za Baby is starting his first sport (Ahh!) and David is assistant coaching. While they were out Zakai and held down the fort until his nap time at which point I decided to go get my life together. I wanted to do a pretty/girly look for the day that so could easily transition to night time since I made dinner plans for us that evening.

I decided on a subtle smokey eye, plum lips and a high pin curl bun.

After lunch time I surprised him with some Oreo cheesecake bites that he had been eying on Facebook. They turned out to be pretty tasty.

We just hung out the rest of the day until it was time for dinner. I deepened up my smokey eye a bit went for a softer lip and was all set.

I forgot to get a good picture of it but that diamond cross necklace he has on is what I got him. He loved it.

We enjoyed dinner at one of our favorite seafood restaurants, Marrieta Fish Market and called it a night.

That’s about it. Another year in the books for hubby. I thank God for him every day.

Until tomorrow luvs 😘

Turquoise & Yellow Makeup

Good morning luvs!

Summer hasn’t quite left us yet so I decided to take advantage of the season earlier this week with a super vibrant turquoise and yellow makeup look.

The headliners for this look is my Wicked Lippie by NYX in the color Scandalous, and my BH Cosmetics Second Edition 120 Color Eyeshadow Pallet.

Argan Oil Wash & Go

Happy Friday luvs!

I just wanted to share the deets on a wash and go I did earlier this week that was everything! Here are the products I used.

Seriously, I discovered a new way to obtain a bomb wash and go using these products but the star of the show was definitely this product right here.

The original leave-in conditioner by Cantu has been a staple of mine since the very beginning of my hair journey so when so saw this Argan oil version, I had to try it.  I am so glad so did. Look at this hair!

So in love with this hair. If you want all the deets on how I achieved this wash and go, click here

Have a great weekend!

Fearless Textures Tampa/Atlanta

Hey luvs!

Today I wanted to recap my Fearless Textures meet-ups in Tampa and Atlanta for you all.  My Tampa meet-up was back in May (I know, I’m way late), and me Atlanta meet-up was this past weekend.  I so enjoyed both events and wanted to share some highlights.

My Tampa Meet-up was held at Blue Martini.  I was supported by my family and friends and had the opportunity to meet some of my supporters as well. We talked  A LOT about hair health and products. I raffled off tons of goodies and everyone was super excited about their takeaways.

Fast forward to my Atlanta Meet-up this past weekend.  I was so excited for this meet-up to be held at the curlBOX headquarters office.

As most of you know I am a huge supporter of this brand and their office space is simply amazing. They uploaded tons of snaps to snapchat through the event, some of which I included in this post.

The office itself is a great experience.  I got to meet some of my beautiful supporters and we talked about some of everything!  Natural hair in Corporate America, undercuts in corporate america, finding the right products, fearlessness and more.  It was so awesome.

I provided the opportunity for anyone who was interested to get cut up by my Fadeologist, Summer J The Barber. My sister decided to go for it!

After Summer J hooked up her new undercut I sacrificed the bobby pins from my hair and gave her a quick updo.

I also raffled off lots of goodies.

The most talked about prizes had to be these amazing candles by Christian Ray Artisian Candles.

We spent some time talking about our fears and not allowing them to keep us from greatness. I gave everyone one of these bracelets as a simple reminder that they do not have a spirit of fear but of power, love and sound mind.

Overall I had an amazing time at both events! I am so glad I was able to meet some of my supporters. I love you guys so much! Well, that’s it for now.
