Happy Friday luvs!
I just wanted to share the deets on a wash and go I did earlier this week that was everything! Here are the products I used.
Seriously, I discovered a new way to obtain a bomb wash and go using these products but the star of the show was definitely this product right here.
The original leave-in conditioner by Cantu has been a staple of mine since the very beginning of my hair journey so when so saw this Argan oil version, I had to try it. I am so glad so did. Look at this hair!
So in love with this hair. If you want all the deets on how I achieved this wash and go, click here.
Have a great weekend!
So this weekend I decided to take my November curlBOX products for a test drive.
Super excited to play with some all new Cantu products, I dove in. I started by using the Co-Wash to cleanse my hair. Next I applied the Dry Deny to my hair which is suppose to help lock in moisture. Then I applied the Moisturizing Curl Activator Cream using the shingling method to help my curls pop. Lastly I applied the Wave Whip Curling Mousse. That did something very unexpected. It turned my hair white!
I was a bit concerned about this. However, once my hair dried I ended up with the softest curls ever! Look at these curls.
Not that I doubted it but curlBOX came through again with some amazing products. If you’re not subscribed GET ON THE LIST!
Way back when, before the days of cost efficient product sampling with FULL SIZE products from my curlBOX subscription there was one brand I knew I could always count on. Cleansing, conditioning, moisturizing, no matter what I needed to do to my hair this brand had a product I could use to accomplish it effectively and at some of the most cost efficient prices in the market. No matter how many products I try this brand will always be a part of my product collection. Cantu, my tried and true.
Last night I used some great products from this brand to co-wash, condition and set my hair for a braid out.
After cleansing my hair with the co-wash I applied my all time favorite leave-in conditioner. This stuff has never failed me on delivering excellent moisture to my hair.
After letting the conditioner sit for about an hour I followed this up with their curling creme and prepped my hair for a braid out.
A braid out prepped with any other product I would probably put a little oil on my hands to help with moisture as I unravel the braids. Using Cantu products that step is totally unnecessary. Check out how juicy my hair is!
It is full of moisture and the definition is beautiful! of course I couldn’t just leave my hair like that, I had to put it up. So….here’s the creation for today.
All of this awesomeness compliments of Cantu Beauty Products, my tried and true!
Some of you know that I received my very first curlBOX this past weekend. I was so excited about this product box subscription! I had been on the list for about a month and was thrilled when I was finally able to purchase it. Find out why in my Unboxing video below.
I hope you all had a great weekend. I decided to spend most of my Sunday afternoon doing mini twists on my hair. Took me about 3 and a half hours but I needed it. Check out the video below to see why. Don’t forget to subscribe to my YouTube Channel!
Just wanted to give some deets about today’s hair. Absolutely loving this look.
I flat twisted my hair in 5 chunky sections using Cantu’s Curl Defining Creme.
Then, I pulled the twists into a ponytail in the front and went to sleep with with my satin bonnet.
In the morning I unravelled the twists, pulled all of the hair to the left side, rolled and tucked the hair and secured with bobby pins. Thats it!
I love the shape!
Sorry it’s been a while. I’m working on something really exciting that I can’t wait to share with you all.
In the mean time, let me introduce you to my current L.O.C. obsession.
Leave-in: Cantu Shea Butter
Oil: Organix Renewing Moroccan Aragan Penetrating Oil
Cream: Organix Moroccan Curling Defining Cream
This combination makes my hair soooo soft! I just love it. I caught these Organix products on a BOGO sale at Walgreens and now I’m hooked! The only downside is that I can’t follow this product combination with my staple curl defining Eco Styler Gel. It leaves a very unappealing white residue.
But…definitely recommend trying these to seal in moisture.
It’s been a while since I tried any new products so I decided to stop and picked up a few newbies.
As most of you know I am in love with almost all of the Cantu products I’ve tried, so when I spotted the new Coconut Curling Creme and Daily Oil Moisturizer I had to scoop those up.
I also spotted a new product from the Dark and Lovely Au Naturale line called Anti-breakage Super Softening Hair Butter. However, after researching it a bit further it’s actually more ideal for transitioning hair. So, I think I’ll pass it along to my sister who I’m super excited to say has decided to start her transition to the world of kinks and curls!
Stay tuned to see how these guys work out!
Decided on a high straight ponytail with tucked ends using Cantu Flat Iron Spray and Carol’s Daughter Hair Milk, and a low bun today.
Nothing like the versatility of natural hair!
While I thoroughly enjoyed the versatility, after just a week I decided to chuck up the deuces to my straight hair. I am now happy to say the curls are back and I am back to my growth challenge regimen. Speaking of my regimen, I’ve gotten some questions as to what my regimen has been since I started the growth challenge. So, here’s a look at what I’ve been doing to promote hair growth during this 6 month challenge.
- Co-wash with Tresemme Flawless Curls 2x/week
- Use the LOC method to seal my ends with water, olive oil and the Cantu Grow Strong Strengthening Treatment at least 3x/week
- Deep condition and baggy with Creme of Nature Intensive Conditioning Treatment with Moroccan Aragan Oil 1x/week
- Wear protective styles at least 3 to 4x/week
- Protect my hair at night with a silk scarf or bonnet
- Use Bioinfusion Olive Oil Shine Serum to help protect my hair when it’s out and not in a protective style
- Take multivitamins every day
- Drink at least 8 cups of water every day
- Exercise 2 to 3x/week
That’s pretty much it! I try to stay as consistent as possible. Although I’ve fallen short on a couple of these items I’m really proud of my dedication and progress. Looking forward to the next 4 1/2 months of awesome hair growth! Stay tuned for updates!
