Tips For French Roll Versatility

Good morning Luvs!!

So earlier this week I decided on a sleek French roll style. I’ve done this style before but whenever I do it, it looks different every time. That effort is of course intentional! I love taking a look and seeing what kind of versatility I can add to it.  The overall look is super easy to achieve and is a fun yet classic style to wear.

The trick to the versatility is all in the shape. The direction you roll and tuck the hair and how tight or loose you roll and tuck the hair all contribute to making the style different each time. Here are a few pics of some different French roll styles I’ve come up with and tips for each look

1. For this look I started the hair slightly off to the left and tucked fairly tight and straight back. My hair was dry but only slightly stretched for this look.

2. I used completely dry stretched hair for this look. I smoothed the hair off to the left and tucked and rolled the hair loosely to help with the shape. The direction was from the left to the center of my head in the back.

3. For this look the hair was dry and completely stretched. I rolled and tightly tucked the hair immediately and carried through straight back.

4. This one is my favorite.  I started by pulling the hair to the left in a bit of a swirl. I tucked the hair in a very compact but high roll going diagonally.  The hair was again dry and completely stretched. Absolutely loved the shape!

Versatile Styles From This Week

Good Morning Beauties!!

I was crazy busy with work but I wanted to catch you all up on my versatile stiles from this week. I have to say I really was into switching it up every day. That’s one of the awesome things about natural hair, the ability for it to be so versatile creates even more opportunity for different styles!

Ok…let’s walk through the week

Monday I did a super high twistout pony, pulled all the hair to the front and swooped it to the side.

On Tuesday I was in the mood for some really high hair so I came up with this creation.

On Wednesday I had a taste for straight hair so I flat ironed a high pony and went with this sleek look.

Thursday the straight hair was over and it was on to this unique twisted up do.

And today is a whole new day!! Who knows what I’ll come up with next. Have a great day guys!!

Extraordinary not ordinary!

The main reason I decided to go natural nearly 3 years ago was simply because I wanted a change. Ever since I took that leap I have been absolutely fascinated with my tresses.

I think of my natural hair as a fun and healthy way to escape the mundane. It allows me the opportunity to go from one look to another without a terrible amount of work.

My natural hair has kept my life and the lives of others just a little more interesting than it would otherwise be. I used to work with a guy who tried to track my hair styles every single day! He finally got to the point where he just couldn’t keep up.

At the end if the day I think of it like this, the Bible says that we are the salt of the earth. Salt ads flavor, which is precisely what I try to do every day. When I walk into a room the atmosphere should change. When people look at me they should see extraordinary not ordinary! Holy Spirit is what truly brings that out. Taking advantage of my natural hair’s versatility offers that extra special something. After all, what’s fine cuisine without garnish?

Be you beauties!
