Unworthy Blog Post Styles

So…I tried a couple of new styles last week but just didn’t think that they were worthy of a blog post. I always try to be as innovative and inspirational as I possibly can and at the time they just seemed under par for me.

Now in retrospect as I sit here and look back through my pics I’m thinking that maybe I was wrong . I’ll let you guys be the judge. Hope they inspire someone!

The first style is a twist updo and bun and the other is my first attempt at a full flat twist around my head. Obviously I wasn’t overly pleased but I’ll definitely try it again!

Well, that’s it for now loves!

Favorite Outfit Of The Week

Hello everyone!

So, the onset of summer is bringing out all the bright colors in my closet. Last week I had a lot of fun rocking another great color combination. I paired this orange top with a fitted navy jacket a pair of taupe pants and some wedged sandals. I kept the hair simple with a twist out. Definitely my favorite outfit from last week.

Curly Fro!

So you all know how much I LOVE rocking a fro. Well, today of course is no exception. This curly fro today is giving me so much life! Something about its shape is just amazing.

I think I was able to achieve this look by wearing a chunky twist out yesterday (using Carol’s Daughter Hair Milk) and not doing anything to my hair before bed. I just wore my bonnet as usual. And this morning, applied some Eco Styler Gel and pow! In love!

Flat Twist Tuesday

Hello loves!

I hope you all are doing great. Today’s hair is a side flat twist with a low bun. Fairly simple and semi protective. I used my new Carol’s Daughter Hair Milk Styling Pudding and a little bit
of Eco Styler Gel. Stay tuned for a review on my new CD products! Here are a few pics. Oh… And make up is from my BH Cosmetics 26 Shadow/Blush pallet. Have an awesome day!

Mother’s Day & A Trip To Target

Good morning loves!

I hope you all are doing great and that all of the mommies had a fabulous Mother’s Day. I celebrated all weekend with family but started off with a long overdue trip to Target!

They had some pretty good deals going on but my true purpose for going was to check our the Carol’s Daughter product line that they now carry. Now, I only started off with two products but I can totally see this being trouble for me. I love Carol’s Daughter products and this new level of accessibility is going to give me an even better opportunity to try more products!

To start I picked up the Hair Milk Moisturizer and Styling Pudding. I also picked up a black handbag which I was in desperate need of a super cute wallet and some miscellaneous beauty goodies. All in all, was an awesome weekend. Here are a few pics.

Something new!

Tried out a new protective style today. I think I like it. I love how my highlights offer so much dimension.

This simple style is just 3 ponytails with two loosely twisted sections per ponytail. The twisted sections in the first ponytail are pinned back to the left side. And for the second and third ponytails I pinned one twist up and the other down. Super simple!

For products I just use Cantu Shea Butter’s Curl Creme and Eco Styler gel for my edges. That’s it! What do you think?

High & Twisted…

…describes today’s hair, and although this is my go to protective style, NONE of my high twisted buns come out the same! I actually really love that :o)

Today I sectioned a high pony into 6 pieces and twisted each section. I kris crossed the two front twists, pined a twist down on the left and right and kris crossed the last two twists in the back. That’s it! Easy and protective!
