After a long weekend visiting family and celebrating my 7 year wedding anniversary in Tampa I’m behind on blog posts. Here’s some major texture and curls from the weekend to help get me back on track.
I achieved this look with Shea Moisture Curl & Style Milk and Eco Styler Gel with Olive Oil.
Sooo…I’ve been doing a lot of fun buns after my mini twist natural hair introduction to my new coworkers. This week I decided that I wanted to showcase some more natural hair versatility and thought I’d do a wash and go. It’s been a couple of months since I’d done one and can I just say that was entirely too long!! I have totally re-realized how much I love this style!
I ran out of my Eco Styler gel with Aragan Oil so hubby picked up the Krystal Eco Styler which I had never tried. I rely on the Aragan and Olive oil versions of this product to help combat flaking so I wasn’t sure if this one would do the same.
I am very happy to report that I’ve had absolutely no flaking! Today is my 3rd day wearing the wash and go. Here’s how the look has progressed.

But last night, I was totally feeling my hair. And so naturally I went ahead and did a selfie photo shoot staring none other than my wash and go!

Last week was my first week back at work but in a new city! I started at AAA’s Atlanta Office of about 8 people total. Quite a change coming from an office of several hundred. None the less, I like it.
I thought that mini twists would be the best way to introduce my curls and kinks to my new coworkers. So, I spent about 6 hours last weekend getting it done. I really think it’s what my hair needed.
I’ve been trying to find the right product combination for my highlighted hair. Since I got it colored its texture has changed a lot. It’s much thicker and much more difficult to retain moisture. I used Cantu’s curl cream to do the twists and have been maintaining with aragan oil and Shea Moisture products.
The twists have definitely made mornings easier, not to mention post work outs too! I’ve started back on a fitness regimen and having the twists has been fantastic!

So today I’m wearing my absolute favorite spring color combo: cobalt blue, pink and yellow! These colors pop so nicely off of each other. They’re the kind of colors that can make me happy just by looking at them. So, needless to say today was a very happy day :o)
…describes today’s hair, and although this is my go to protective style, NONE of my high twisted buns come out the same! I actually really love that :o)
Today I sectioned a high pony into 6 pieces and twisted each section. I kris crossed the two front twists, pined a twist down on the left and right and kris crossed the last two twists in the back. That’s it! Easy and protective!
Not sure what it is with my highlights today but they are giving me so much life! LOVE
Still one of my favorite styles since my big chop 3 years ago!

I celebrated my 3 year natural hair anniversary last week ! Three years ago on April 3rd I chopped off my hair, and embraced my curls, one of the best decisions I’ve ever made!!
Great morning!! Hubby surprised me with a beautiful rose gold and black watch which I am absolutely loving! Decided to sport it today along with a high curly ponytail and one of my new Milani lipsticks! This one is Flamingo Pose and it’s totally popping off my lips. It screams spring even on this rainy cool Florida day.
