Teyonah Parris Inspired Vintage Look

Hi luvs!

I’d never attempted to re-create a look before but when I saw the picture below of Teyonah Parris’ beautiful vintage look for the African American Film Critics Gala in January, I thought this was one I definitely wanted to give a try.

Styled by the extremely talented Felicia Leatherwood, who I truly admire, I started thinking about how I could even remotely do this style justice. Well last week I went in on both the hair and makeup and here is how it turned out

Not bad right!? I was pretty pleased so you can only imagine my excitement when both Felicia Leatherwood AND Teyonah Parris said they also adored my finished product😝😝😝

Flirty But Sturdy Holiday Hair

Good morning my luvs!

Today I’ve got the first DIY tutorial for my COME THROUGH Holiday Hair Series. If you’ll be attending a holiday party that’s going to involve a lot of dancing you’ll want to style your hair in a way that’s going to be really cute, but also secure. You don’t want to have to worry about curls falling or hair coming out of place. For your holiday events like this you should go with a “Flirty But Sturdy” style. And of course I’ve got one for you.

This look is super cute and flirty but will stay in place all night!  Check out the DIY tutorial here to see how I got the look.

Twister

Hi beauties

Today I’ve got a video tutorial for a unique updo from last week.

The circular shape and funnel feel of this look reminded me a lot of a twister. I just love the way it came out. This style was voted the #1 look of the week on Instagram last week.

3 Undercut Styles For A Corporate Job

Hi beauties!

Today I wanted to talk about 3 easy undercut styles that you can rock in a corporate environment. Now, I’ve personally worn a lot more out of the box styles to my corporate job but if you’re afraid to rock the boat or just aren’t ready to go too creative, here are a few styles you can add to your go to hairstyle arsenal.

1. Side Front flat twist – this style is very chic and conservative. It highlights just one side of the undercut and is a fairly easy  and fit for a corporate workplace. Here are two different versions

Click here for a tutorial for this look.

2. Side Swept Mega French Roll/Twists – This is another chic and look that is more conservative for a undercut style.  It also focuses on just one side of the undercut and is very sleek. Here are a couple different looks.

3. High Bun – Although this style does boast the entire undercut it is incredibly sleek and clean.

That’s it! Three easy go to undercut styles you can use if you work in corporate. I hope this was helpful!
