2014 Natural Hair & Purpose Recap
2014 was definitely a year of natural hair creativity for me. From my highlights in February to my undercut in October I had so much fun with my tresses! Challenging myself to come up with unique styles virtually every day was tough but rewarding. It allowed me the opportunity to inspire other naturalistas. Those looks also landed me features on CurlyNiki, Curlbox, Essence.com and tons of Natural Hair social media sites like @naturalhairdaily, @protectivestyles, @naturalhairdoescare, @myhaircrush and @naturalhairmag
2014 was definitely a great year for my hair journey. Here are some of my favorite looks from the year.
The only thing more exciting was the launch of Curly Christians, the blog where Christ, curls and fashion collide. I am so blessed to have found a big part of my purpose in this amazing blog this year. As the Editor-In-Chief I pull two mega industries I adore and my passion for Jesus Christ together onto a platform that is inspiring thousands every day! God is so awesome. I can’t wait to see what incredible things 2015 will bring. One things fore sure, I’m ready!
Something About This Do
I don’t know what it is about this twist out updo I did earlier this week but it’s gotten so much love on Instagram this week! It was featured on several natural hair pages and re posted by other naturalistas. I tried to follow the postings but couldn’t keep up! Excited to be inspiring so many others!
A Flat Twist & Facebeat
A Night of Coral Black & Inspiration
So…Saturday night I met up with an old friend and co-worker of mine who also to my surprise lives in Atlanta!
For my outfit I paired a high-low coral dress with some black leggings a black and silver belt and my black and metallic Carlos Santana heels. I kept the hair simple with a super high bun.
We had a great time catching up and indulging in some wine and dinner at a nice spot called Twist. Unfortunately for me she’ll be moving back to NY soon to embark on a new adventure. She is fearless and inspires me so much.
Going out big!
Hello loves!
Well, this week is my last week in Florida before my family and I relocate to Georgia! I’m so excited to start a adventure in a new city. But first…you know I’ve gotta go out big!
Yesterday at work I was totally giving them life at work with this ridiculously awesome fro! Loved it! I’m really going to miss inspiring my coworkers and making the place more exciting. But, onward and upward!

A Rockstar Jacket & New Updo
Happy Friday!!
Today I paired more thrifted items from my ATL trip that I absolutely love! I found this great cobalt Rockstar jacket and mustard skirt from the Goodwill. The jacket was $7 and I think the skirt was $6. LOVE this combination! The subtle shine from the jacket is so awesome.
I’m also trying out a new twisted updo today. Styles like this are great because they allow for a lot of creativity yet they’re easy and protective!
