Show Off
Hello loves!
For the past few weeks I’ve been a bit of a show off wearing some great colors from the Rimmel Show Off Lip Lacquer line. I’m am loving these! They are nice and creamy and keep my lips very moisturized.
So far I’ve just been playing with these colors (from left to right: Galaxy, Luna, Light Year, Stellar

NYX Wicked Lippie

Tonight I wanted to show you these amazing lippies I got from the NYX Wicked line for Christmas. There are a total of 12 lippies in this line and I got my start with these 4.

You can probably already imagine how much fun I’ve had playing with these beauties. Here’s a look at how they each look on me.

Seriously love all of them. I can definitely see myself getting the others. Out of these 4, I think I like Envy best. But…check with me again next week and I might have a new favorite. Lol! NYX did a great job with these. Very vibrant and unique colors. Which one do you like best?

One of my absolute favorite Christmas gifts has got to be the NYX Cosmetics Wicked Lippie line. I’ve been playing with some of the colors and this one right here!! Love it! Just wanted to give you all a sneak peak. I’ll be doing a full post on all of the colors.

I very rarely apply heat to my hair but today I decided to blow out my hair. I started with dry hair. I used Cream Of Nature’s Aragan Oil leave-in Conditioner and I also used Cantu’s Daily Moisturizer as a heat protectant. I sectioned my hair into 4 and applied the leave-in followed by the moisturizer and blew each section on low heat.
In the mood for some deep dark hues I thought I’d pull out the perfect fall color, purple and pair it up with my flat black lace up boots! The lips are Pagan Angel from Fergie’s Wet N’ Wild line.

Pretty much in love with this product! I’ve been trying out all of the colors I can find in this line and I just love them all. The colors are beautiful and last through my work day, easily! Most importantly though, because it doesn’t kiss off on him, hubby loves it just as much as I do! Win, win!
Today I happen to be wearing Red My Mind. It’s so vibrant.
Definitely recommend these beauties!
Chameleon
Last week’s nail color selection was from Revlon. It was like a really pretty iridescent gold called Chameleon. Very unique. Loved it! Here are some pics.
Rain Storm
That’s the name for this week’s SinfulColors nail polish selection. It seems like a perfect navy and gray combination. I love the deepness of the color. It has a cozy look/feel to it. Think I’ll enjoy wearing this one. What do you think?
Bantu Knot Out Fail & Recovery
On the Curly Christians blog last month I did a post about the art of bantu knot outs. I have to admit, bantu knot outs is not an art that I have quite figured out yet. Yesterday I sported what I’d say was a solid attempt at a classic bantu knot style…after my initial style attempt failed. Let me take you through the evolution of the style.
I started with dry stretched hair. I used Shea Moisture Curl & Style Milk and Eco Styler Gel to do my knots.
I slept with a satin scarf and after an uncomfortable night sleep (these things are a beast to sleep on!) I went to work at unravelling the knots. At first glance they looked to have taken pretty well. So naturally I was excited!
Then, as I started carefully separating them things started to go downhill. They did not separate with ease as I hoped and as a result the ends started to get frizzy. I tried to just go with it. Got all the way to work, took a couple of pics and quickly realized it just wasn’t working for me.
Soooo…I quickly improvised. I grabbed a couple of bobby pins and tucked the ends under. I managed to find a super quick and easy way to turn my frizzy not so awesome bantu knot out into a solid attempt at a classic style. Best I could do…considering.
I suppose I’ll just keep working at this bantu knot out thing until I get it down. Let me know if you have any tips!
Unicorn and All About You
This is the creative name of my newest nail color combination. I have to be honest, I wasn’t so sure about the pale yellow that Sinful Colors calls “Unicorn.” I though it might be a bit too pale which is why I opted for their sparkle overlay “All About You”. I think it was a good choice.
