Rejuvenating My Hairstyling Mojo With Mini Twists

I hope you all had a great weekend. I decided to spend most of my Sunday afternoon doing mini twists on my hair. Took me about 3 and a half hours but I needed it. Check out the video below to see why. Don’t forget to subscribe to my YouTube Channel!

NYX Wicked Lippie

Hello loves!

Tonight I wanted to show you these amazing lippies I got from the NYX Wicked line for Christmas. There are a total of 12 lippies in this line and I got my start with these 4.

From left to right:
Scandalous, Envy, Risqué, Sinful

You can probably already imagine how much fun I’ve had playing with these beauties. Here’s a look at how they each look on me.

Seriously love all of them. I can definitely see myself getting the others. Out of these 4, I think I like Envy best. But…check with me again next week and I might have a new favorite. Lol! NYX did a great job with these. Very vibrant and unique colors. Which one do you like best?

Twist Out Roll & Tuck

Hi beauties!

Just wanted to give some deets about today’s hair. Absolutely loving this look.

I flat twisted my hair in 5 chunky sections using Cantu’s Curl Defining Creme.

Then, I pulled the twists into a ponytail in the front and went to sleep with with my satin bonnet.

In the morning I unravelled the twists, pulled all of the hair to the left side, rolled and tucked the hair and secured with bobby pins. Thats it!

I love the shape!

2014 Natural Hair & Purpose Recap

2014 was definitely a year of natural hair creativity for me. From my highlights in February to my undercut in October I had so much fun with my tresses! Challenging myself to come up with unique styles virtually every day was tough but rewarding. It allowed me the opportunity to inspire other naturalistas. Those looks also landed me features on CurlyNiki, Curlbox, and tons of Natural Hair social media sites like @naturalhairdaily, @protectivestyles, @naturalhairdoescare, @myhaircrush and @naturalhairmag

2014 was definitely a great year for my hair journey. Here are some of my favorite looks from the year.

The only thing more exciting was the launch of Curly Christians, the blog where Christ, curls and fashion collide. I am so blessed to have found a big part of my purpose in this amazing blog this year. As the Editor-In-Chief I pull two mega industries I adore and my passion for Jesus Christ together onto a platform that is inspiring thousands every day! God is so awesome. I can’t wait to see what incredible things 2015 will bring. One things fore sure, I’m ready!
