The March curlBOX was filled with goodies by Design Essentials. I plan to use the complete system this weekend when I wash my hair but I had to try out the Coconut & Monoi Deep Moisture Milk Souffle.
This product has a great consistency to it. It has a lot of slip which works well for me since I typically work with dry stretched hair. Yesterday I decided on a half crown flat twist with some lift that came out really nice.
I ended up being really lazy last night and slept with my hair just like this. In the morning I had a nice chunky twist out going on. My hair was still very nice and moisturized from the Moisture Milk Souffle which made my hair prep super simple. I just rolled twisted and tucked the hair to get today’s look. Love it!
Can’t wait to try out the rest of the Design Essential products in the March CurlBox this weekend. Stay tuned!
So…I had a ton of fun trying out the different products in the February curlBOX and playing with some new styles. Here’s a video review of each of the products. Let me know what you thought of some of these products if you have a subscription. Very excited to get my March curlBOX!
Seriously, who would think to combine Dove and Dark and Lovely products? curlBOX of course! So, this morning I decided to take these two new products I got from my February curlBOX for a test drive. The results were like POW!
The Dove Quench Absolute Supreme Creme Serum really served as a great moisturizer. I almost always work with dry stretched hair, and this product did a great job giving my hair some moisture before I started styling.
As for the Dark and Lovely Defining Gel and Moisture Butter, well, let me just pause so I can collect myself to say…A-MAZING! I absolutely love the texture of this stuff. It really is the perfect blend of Gel and Butter. I can definitely tell that this will be a great product for twist and braid out definition, or even rod sets! My hair is so silky with this product. Love love.
The style is a total of three flat twists meticulously placed to form this great shape. I’ll do a recap of this week’s styles but I can already tell you that this is my favorite look of the week.
Here are a few more pics.
Some of you know that I received my very first curlBOX this past weekend. I was so excited about this product box subscription! I had been on the list for about a month and was thrilled when I was finally able to purchase it. Find out why in my Unboxing video below.
So, I fully intend on doing a YouTube video unboxing my very first curlBOX but I couldn’t wait to share these beautiful curls I achieved using one of the products that was included.
I’ve been wanting to try Lottabody products for a while so I was thrilled to find the Moisture Me Curl & Style Milk as one of the curlBOX products this month. I decided to try out the product with a flexi rod set. Check out these amazing curls! Very excited to do more with this product in the future.
I hope everyone’s ready to celebrate the birth of Jesus!! I know I am. I so love this time of year ❤
I wanted to do a quick blog post highlighting my crazy cool features by the Curlbox Crew. Curlbox is one of my absolute favorite Instagrm accounts to follow. They feature some of the most amazing natural hair pics. So when I saw that I was featured on one of their “Insta Talk” posts about holiday hairstyles last week I was pretty excited.
This was a look from last week that I did on flat ironed hair. It’s a total of two flat twists. Looks complex but not so much. Here are a few more pics.
And if that wasn’t enough I found out today that I was featured again on the Curlbox blog 5 Fab Holiday Styles. Check it out herehttps://www.facebook.com/curlbox/posts/694325210683844:0
