So I just wanted to do a quick blog post of this hair from yesterday. I was feeling all kinds of DOPE! It’s a fairly easy updo staring my undercut. Love it!!
Hope you all are having a great day! Here are some pics. Hubby’s probably throwing shade in that last pic because he’s tired of me wearing his shirts! Especially love the one I’m wearing in these pics! Hehe
So Monday night I got bold, again! I know, I’m a little crazy. Lol. I wanted to take my undercut to the next level so I gave hubby the scissors and the clippers.
I decided to take more off the sides and shape up the back a bit more. Love the results! Can’t wait to start creating with this look. Here are some pics
Hubby hooked up the fresh trim today. It’s amazing what a difference it makes. So clean!
For the style a did two ponies. I separated each pony into two sections and twisted each one. I crisscrossed the two sections of the top pony towards the front and secured the twists with two bobby pins. For the back pony, I pinned one of the twisted sections up and the other down. That’s it!
Here are some pics. Hope you all had a great Sunday!
It was another long work week. But I’m back with my undercut’s new favorite style…and mine! It’s definitely this big side pompadour. I am loving it. I especially love the fact that I can play with different variations that all end up dope!
This past week I wore the style for the first time to work and it got so much love.
How many ways can you wear a side pompadour? My new favorite game to play. Lol! Here are some picks…
I hope you all had an awesome Labor Day weekend! After washing out that awesome twist out and getting a fresh trim from hubby I tried out a couple of different styles. For a crazy natural hair lover like myself it was tons of fun. Here are some pics from my weekend hair creations.
Now you guys know that I’ve worn twists numerous times. But never have they looked like this! There’s something about this undercut that just does something different to my twists.
Ok so obviously I’m feeling my new cut. Really, this was an awesome decision. Sometimes on this natural hair journey it pays to just try something new!
As some of you know I’ve been thinking about cutting my hair. Well, Saturday morning the thinking came to an end and I took action! After a lot of thought I decided that while I’m not ready for another big chop I was totally up for an undercut!
My true undercut inspiration came a few weeks ago when I did a post on the Curly Christians blog called “Up Your Undercut Game”. It seems as though on my mission to inspire other naturalistas on cool ways to keep their natural hair journey interesting, I ended up inspiring myself! After tons of photo research on undercuts I really started considering the idea.
This past Friday after looking through one of my major creative inspirations Instagram page, Kaori Nik, I said to myself “Yep! I’m doing it”. This beautiful and talented woman’s pics put me in motion!
With that, I called my hubby and told him I wanted him to cut my hair this weekend. Up for just about anything he said, “Ok, sure.” Saturday morning came, I parted my hair how I wanted it and hubby took care of the rest.
I styled it in a high twist out ponytail with a little hair out in the front. I absolutely LOVE the results!! Hubby did a great job and am so excited about this next chapter of my natural hair journey!
